These settings control how File Buddy creates text files, such as file lists saved as text.
This menu controls the encoding File Buddy uses to create plain text files. File encoding determines how the file stores non-ASCII characters, such as special characters and most characters in languages other than English. The options are:
The Text File Creator button allows you to select an application which will be used as the owner of text files File Buddy creates. You may also enter a creator code manually in the text field next to it. Leave the text field blank, or enter '????' in it if you want text files File Buddy creates to open in your default text editing application.
If this setting is on, File Buddy will append the “.txt” extension to any text file it creates.
